Renovations...Mission Impossible?

It has been a dream for Mike to sail his own yacht to Mediterranean Greece. A boat was bought and renovations begun!
Initially the trip was going to be across the channel and day sails along the coast of western France, Northern Spain and Portugal before entering the Mediterranean.
However, I thought to myself.. why am I working whilst Mike enjoys this trip, so we decided to take a 'grey gap year' and to go together,' brave/stupid' most people thought!
Due to the more frequent Orca attacks/ interactions with sail boats (which I really didn't fancy) and the presence of a spaniel on board we decided to day sail to Bordeaux and then travel down the Midi to reach the Med.
Luckily I did some research.... and realised our keel depth was to deep at 1.5m for the Midi!
Not to worry, we have travelled most of the Midi previously and more research revealed a really interesting route following the rivers and canals of France 😀
Renovations are underway to the inside and outside of Ramukanji.
Not quite ready and the weather in early 2024 was foul,, we decided to set sail at the beginning of May.
