With thanks to The Cruising Association who have been a huge source of help and information, these facts are from Gordon Knight and his guide for vessels transiting to and from the Mediterranean through inland France.

In case you're wondering why we aren't going by sea, just read the media on 'Orca Interactions ' in the Straits of Gibraltar and the Atlantic coasts of Portugal and Spain !

Again the CA have been amazing with help and information relating to this subject, and we follow the project closely as we will have to sail through the 'Straits' and up the coast to The Algarve at some point .

Mike had originally planned to Midi route, but I had to point out our draft which somewhat excluded us from passing through!
